Absolutely fantastic interview of Eric Lindros, from Justin Johnson at The Hockey Guys/ The Hockey Writers. He covers a wide range of topics & events over the course of Lindros’ career. It’s fascinating to hear his take on the Flyers of the 90’s, the playoff runs, and the injuries that plagued his career with some time and perspective.

I loved Lindros, and remember that fateful day, when the league decision came down on the big trade. I’ll never forget driving down I-95 on my way to DC for college orientation, gradually losing the radio signal of the announcement broadcast. We were just barely able to hear the final sentences, and shouted with joy when we learned that Lindros would officially be a Flyer.

That was the beginning of some amazing times as a Flyers fan. The Legion of Doom & the Crazy Eights brought so many exciting moments to the ice. I spent a lot of time on trains back and forth between DC & Philly just to see him play. I really hope he does play in the Alumni game before the Winter Classic. Because a Flyers alumni team without #88 just isn’t complete.
