Chuck Lorre is a TV writer, best known for creating and writing the series Dharma & Greg, Two and a Half Men, and The Big Bang Theory. He also produced and wrote on the series Cybill, Roseanne, Grace Under Fire, and many other shows.
At the end of his shows, starting with Dharma & Greg, he inserted a title card. The 217 episodes’ ending credit cards have contained a variety of content over the years, ranging from rants against the network suits, to poetry, to Buddhist philosophy. Many are quite humorous, and others profound. He even wrote some supporting his writers during last year’s strike. Three times before, his Title Card got censored by the network, usually related to his complaint about some censored content in the original script for that episode.
Tonight’s Title Card for The Big Bang Theory looked like this on air, but was originally intended to look like this. Seriously, CBS? Now, that’s just silly.
Context IS everything.
